Who's the man in this relationship?...

Hello :)

I have had the most amazing week really, started on a high after i passed my driving test and suddenly gained freedom! Then i went out for lunch tuesday and spend the afternoon with a very amazing person. Wednesday was my little brothers birthday (12) and we went out to a well known noodle bar for dinner and after a heated debate over who was driving me and mum won and got the wine, dad lost and had the water!

On thursday after my one lesson of the day! i went to the beach and spend the whole day lying in the sun before coming back and picking up the real man in the relationship, driving out to the pub, paying for the food and dropping him home! Then to top it all off i picked him up for the gym this morning! I like being able to drive! And i finally have had the Nando's i've been craving since being on top of the mountain in malawi! It tasted GOOD!

Seems like i'm in for a nice family evening in tonight before i meet the parents tomorrow :/ very scared! and then out to get nicely drunk before a hangover curing surf sunday! what could be better! :D

Malawi Gold

On the 24th of August me and 10 others set off for Heathrow terminal 4 to fly to Lilongwe, Malawi making a brief stop in Nairobi, Kenya and in Zimbabwe. Ignoring the food poisoning i managed to get at the airport before i left.. :P

So on arrival in Malawi we spent time looking around the local markets and gathering food for our 6 day trek before getting onto a bus for 8 hours to get to malange.

We then arrived at Malange View Hotel for an early night before 6 days hiking up the mountain. The first two days we spent with porters carrying our bags as we faced a steep incline then for the last four days we walking solo in groups of 4 and 5 carrying our own 65L bags. The terrain was tough but the views were beautiful.

So once we were down from the mountain we traveled to Liwonde for our Safari were there was lots of hippo's, elephants and a river... full of crocodiles!

After our Safari we traveled to a school in Dzalanyama to work in the school doing painting and also with the kids

The school for me was the most amazing and rewarding thing i have ever done and is defiantly something i intend on doing more of!

The whole trip overall was amazing and if anyone gets the chance to do anything like it i would say take it!

Until next time
